My name's Julie Hill. I draw and paint and design and plan parties and write and animate and et cetera in Cincinnati, Ohio. I keep myself quite busy with my creative collective, Projectmill. I love music, drawing, birds, and drawing birds. My artwork has shown in New York, London, Los Angeles, Cleveland, Louisville, Cincinnati and Ann Arbor.
why ‘80%’?
I get asked this a lot, and I suppose I could say something kicky like, “it’s 80% art 20% RADICAL” but that’s not really an ideal percentage, is it? The real story involves creating a website-as-project years ago to experiment and push myself as an artist and designer, the philosophy being, “if you consider your best to be 80% as good as it potentially could be, you’ll always be moving forward”. Now that site is this.
